So this is what it's like to have kids....EXHAUSTING!

Natalie and our two favorite boys were here this weekend. We played with dinosaurs, pirate swords, pump rockets, and cars that change color in the water (when this chemist finally figured it out for everyone). We played RockBand and went to an Orioles game. Sean even babysat for awhile and took them to the playground! It was a great, exhausting weekend, but so much fun.
Pirate Pose
Sam and Speidi (as in Spencer and Heidi, courtesy of Sean; Dallin's dinosaur's name was Seany Seany)
RockBand rockin' out...even Natalie got into it!
Dallin, Sean and Rox watching Dora this morning.

The boys were so good with Rox this time, and Rox was sooooo good with them. They were petting her and hanging on her the whole time and she took it in stride. Makes we feel a lot more comfortable about her with babies for when we eventually have one!

GREAT WEEKEND

Tornado Alley

We came home from helping my parents move to Grandmom's house at the end of July to this:
That is half of our neighbor's tree on our deck. Luckily it didn't damage the deck and nothing fell on the house. When we first turned in to our neighbor, it seriously looked like a tornado had come straight down the road - there were trees on top of cars, on rooftops, and debris everywhere. Sean started freaking out because we have a HUGE oak tree in the back yard we swore was going to be down. Thankfully that didn't happen; only 1 branch fell from the oak and it fell straight down into our yard. It seems like it was only the pear trees all over that fell. So, the neighbor got the rest of the tree taken out yesterday and now we have NO privacy between the two houses! Oh well.
Needed a pic of the pup! She cracks me up!

It's Been Too Long

So, I bet no one even reads this thing anymore, but I'll post anyway. Nothing much has been going on except for stress at work for both of us. Seems to be the only constant. We did get these, though:
The Jetta has one, too. 1st and 2nd in the state! Sean sent in his paperwork about 4 months before they even came out with it. We're very proud of it.
Been up to Philly a couple times. Went to see No Doubt and Paramore with the sisters. It was an awesome show! Gwen is my idol....looking like that at 40! I wish I could look like that now!
Here's the doggie chillaxin' at the house. She loves laying in the sun. She is such a ham, it looks like she's posing for this!

New windows and curtains!

So we finally got some new windows. Here's what they look like from the outside:
The tree looks so pretty when it's flowering.
We alos got some new curtains for the living room:
It's amazing what a difference they make! The only problem is that we have to keep the sheers open so Fish Breath can do this:That's her favorite spot.
I love fixing up the house!

My Birthday Weekend!

First off, let me say we are horrible at keeping this up and we know it. There just hasn't been that much excitement around here!

On that note, this is where Sean took me for my birthday this past weekend:
(Please forgive the use of Internet images, we dummies forgot out camera)

This is the Doubleday Inn on the battlefield in Gettysburg. It was so relaxing and gorgeous! It was the best birthday ever. We went up on Friday afternoon and, after checking in, we walked around town for a bit. We decided to check out the Ghost Tours going on at the one place I liked before (there are 100s of tour places!). I saw they were offering a Ghost HUNT, so I HAD to go! We met back there at 9:30 and by 10:00pm we were out in the Grove with EMF detectors, EVP recorders, divining rods, and other instruments. We got muddy, but it was a lot of fun. We got some answers with the diving rods, but Sean thinks he was just "off balance". Either way, it was really cool and I would definitely go back.
The next morning we woke up to Caramel French Toast, sausage and fresh fruit.
We then went to the new Visitor's center to see the video and Cyclorama as well as the museum, all of which were cool. Then we went driving around the Battlefield and went to some Monuments we hadn't visited before. We did Pizza Hut for dinner and then went back and hung out at the Inn and relaxed for a bit. At 9:00, the Inn had a Historian/Tour Guide come to answer questions we might have. A few other guests sat in the living room with us 'til 11pm talking with this man who knew every detail about the battle. I never was that interested in History, but I sure did learn a lot this weekend.
The next morning we had a bacon, egg and cheese casserole with chocolate chip scones and fresh fruit again. The InnKeeper, who is also the owner, made these breakfasts! THey also had fresh baked cookies and coffee/tea available every afgernoon. It was a really awesome place and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet weekend away (no TV...I don't know how we made it!)
Sean, you're too good to me!

Long January

It was a long month. We had a good New Year's Eve, but the rest of the month was rather hectic.

Grandmom passed away on January 3rd. I'm glad we got to spend Christmas Eve with her. It was a little rough on me and I still am trying to get over it. I know it will take time. I miss her.
That's her opening some presents at Christmas. She was so mad at us for getting her anything, but I know it made her happy.

I was so run down from driving up to Philly 3 weeks in a row and last week I got sick. You know it's bad when I actually go to the Doctor! I missed 2 days of work, which no one at work was happy about, but I would have been useless.

This week I finally feel like I'm back to normal. I just read the 100 emails in my inbox (mostly forwards from Nana and the 2 Moms!). Hopefully February will be a little slower!

Here are some pics of Christmas that we never posted:
Sean helping decorate the tree on Christmas Eve (and Fallon's butt!)
Ally (sis) and Paige (cuz) eating something.
Sean imitating Cede (his sis's dog).
Sean trying to make Rox and Saki sit together on New Year's Day. They were really good together and between Saki and Cede, Rox is learning how to box!

Christmas Pics...

Above are some Christmas pics. This is our first Christmas in our house. We got a live tree. Note how we got it home. It was my idea...

Bathroom that would not end...

Morgan and I had a window in our shower in the upstairs bathroom. I went to fix the grout around the window and all the tiles fell off the wall! The above photo is the resulting mess.!

We got our bids and had a contractor fix the hole, install a new tub, put a fan in the bathroom, etc.

The contractor left us with bare drywall and Mo and I did the rest. We painted, put up some new fixtures and finished things up. I'm glad it's done.
