Molly tricks

This video has three of Molly's latest tricks. She dances and stands on her own (both a couple weeks old, but first video). I also taught her to stick out her tongue when I do :)

Molly Crawls...

Proof that she crawls. She's starting to pull herself up onto things and people too.

Molly's first swim lesson...

Molly was 7 months when we started her swim lesson. If she's in a good mood and had a nap then she enjoys it. If she's cranky then it's not much fun, but she does not cry.... even when we dunk her. Any screaming kids in the video are someone else's! She likes the water.

Summer...

Mo bought Molly a little pool. We filled it up today since it is so hot. Molly loved it. She played in it for an hour. She baby talks non stop, is eating baby food, rolls from her back to her front and back to her back. She sits up on her own and will play by herself if you're sitting in the same room with her (perfect for when I do homework). Take a look at our old posts and then look at these... it's amazing!

Rolling over...

Molly rolls over now. Just from her tummy to back. Mo has seen it once or twice, but I have never seen it. It was great and a heck of a reward after the day I had at work. She did it enough that I even caught it on video....

Easter Bunny

We took Molly to the Easter Bunny. It's her first Easter! She did well with the bunny, but did not want to look at the camera. She was too busy looking at all the other babies in line. After that, Mo and I wandered around the mall and had a romantic dinner of Chick-Fil-A.

Teething...maybe not...

We have thought she was getting teeth for a while now. She drools, plays with her gums and enjoys sucking on these frozen toys. Still no sign of teeth though.

Molly talk...

Molly's new language. She squeals and blows raspberries all the time now.

Rice cereal

Molly eats rice cereal. It's usually my job to feed her cereal.

Waking up

This is a video of Molly waking up from her naps. She is happiest when she first wakes up. You know when she has slept enough when she wakes up and smiles at you. If she's crying or gives you the "evil eye" then she should have slept a little longer.

Food and her thumb

Molly has been eating her rice cereal. The whole process works a lot better when you use a baby spoon. You can fit it all the way in her mouth and kind of scrap it off the spoon with the back of her lip. She likes it better that way.

She also discovered her thumb...and likes to suck it.

Just because...

I thought these videos were just cute.

Molly loves books

Mo reads to her every evening before bed. Molly loves books. When they are open she follows the pictures and talks at the books. When you close them she stops reading. I read Molly my college text books. She does not seem as interested, but we are hoping she will read at a graduate level by Kindergarten.

Solid Foods...

Molly was given the green light to start solid foods. I couldn't wait to feed her, so I whipped up some baby gruel. None of the baby spoons were clean, so I used the smallest spoon in the silveware drawer. I forgot to find a bib and didn't measure the milk to add to the cereal. This post is actually her second feeding. Same spoon and no bib, but Mo's technique is more refined and less messy :)

She giggles

Molly giggles now. I've heard it once and Mo has heard it a couple times. She is also starting to flip herself over. She likes to try on her changing table.

Bebe Pod

Molly sits in her Bebe Pod. We can also stand her up and she supports her weight without any help. We just keep her from falling over. She also sits in her bouncy chair or car seat and does little sit ups. She doesn't get herself all the way up, but she is trying.

Boxer

Molly likes grabbing stuff you put in front of her or swatting stuff. She grabs her toys and keys that you sit on her chest. She also likes TV...we limit that though.

Faux Hawk

Molly has some dry skin on her scalp. Mo massages vaseline into her head before her bath and it gets rid of it. The side effect is her hair looks like this for the next day or so...

Put 'em up... Put 'em up

Molly's hungry...

For her bath towel...

Tummy Time!

We have been working with Molly on her tummy time. She's 9 weeks right now. She doesn't like tummy time, but she's getting better at it! She is also very talkative.

She sleeps pretty well. The other night she slept for 7 hours straight. Last night she only woke up once in the middle of the night and let Mo sleep until 0530. Mo's doing great with the Munchkin.

The bottom video is her following her Penn State mobile. They're Nittany Lions.
